How does Immuno-Care® help to alleviate symptoms of seasonal allergies?

Celt Naturals Immuno-Care®helps to modulate immune function through T cells, reduce inflammatory markers (such as IL-6), and support the cellular function from oxidative stress and damage. Immuno-Care®reduces allergies by dampening down basophil, eosinophils and mast cells. These are the cells that release histamine, causing the typical “allergic reactions”, such as runny nose, itchy eyes, and in some people, achy joints and flu-like symptoms.

A study conducted in the United States demonstrated that Celt Naturals Immuno-Care® provides
powerful antioxidant protection at the cellular level. This is important as people with different immune-related issues tend to have oxidative stress, which should be repaired in order to maintain healthy cells.

Are there any cautions I should be aware of?

Celt Naturals Immuno-Care®should not be taken by organ or tissue transplant recipients, including bone marrow and corneal transplant recipients, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Always consult a healthcare professional if you are taking other drugs or herbal supplements, including blood-thinning medications. Keep Immuno-Care® out of the reach of children.

Why shouldn't Immuno-Care® be taken with milk?

Milk and other dairy products can block the absorption of plant sterols, which are very similar to cholesterol in structure, and compete for cellular receptors. Taking Celt Naturals Immuno-Care®first thing in the morning, and then waiting 30 minutes before eating, will help make the plant sterols more active.

What is the benefit of “Delayed Release”?

When evaluating supplements, absorption is a crucial aspect to consider. Delayed release works by presenting a surface that remains stable in the highly acidic pH level of the stomach, and breaks down rapidly at a less acidic (relatively more basic) pH level.  For example, capsules will not dissolve in the acidic juices of the stomach (pH ~3), but will dissolve in the alkaline (pH 7-9) environment of the small intestine. Some experts believe that the bioavailability of non-enteric- coated supplements (i.e. all the contents) is only 10-15% due to damage from gastric juices and enzymes in the stomach.

While delayed release is a common technology employed in the manufacturing of costly pharmaceutical medications, it is used less often in the nutritional supplement industry.

Is Immuno-Care® gluten free?

Yes, we can confirm that Celt Naturals Immuno-Care®is gluten free.

Are the capsules GMO free?

Celt Naturals Immuno-Care®uses an all-natural, two-piece, non-animal capsule to address a variety of cultural and dietary requirements, including vegetarians and people on restricted diets, such as starch free, preservative free, and gluten free.

Immuno-Care® capsules are made of a water-soluble polysaccharide, produced through a fermentation process. Immuno-Care® has gained worldwide regulatory acceptance, with its proven safety record, and has been in commercial production for 25 years.

Where is Immuno-Care® manufactured?

Celt Naturals Immuno-Care®is manufactured at a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) facility in Canada, which has been Certified by Health Canada. All raw materials used are tested for purity, safety and potency. If they do not meet the standards of Celt Naturals, then they are rejected and sent back or destroyed.  Immuno-Care®has three patents, ensuring the highest scrutiny by government patent lawyers and biomedical researchers.

Is Immuno-Care® peanut free?

Yes, Celt Naturals Immuno-Care®is peanut free.  Any concerns regarding allergic reactions to peanuts are usually greater where the potential for this is high, such as in food manufacturing plants. However, because Celt Naturals Immuno-Care®is manufactured in a Health Canada-certified GMP facility that produces only nutraceuticals and pharmaceuticals, there is no likelihood of cross-contamination.

Can Immuno-Care® be taken after the expiry date?

Nutritional supplements generally maintain their potency beyond their expiry dates, and there are no safety issues in consuming Immuno-Care®after an expiry date has passed.  In fact, stability and potency tests were conducted five years past expiry, and Immuno-Care®was not only deemed safe, it maintained 100% full potency.

Does Immuno-Care® have a Natural Product Number (NPN)?

Yes, Celt Naturals Immuno-Care®has an NPN, a special licence provided by Health Canada after it has researched a product over an extended period. This should give consumers a high level of confidence regarding the amount of scrutiny Immuno-Care®has received from government Regulators.

Is Immuno-Care® tested on animals?

Most natural supplements are safe for use.  In Canada, Health Canada goes to great lengths to ensure Canadians and others that supplements sold here, and exported to other countries, are safe. For this reason, Canadian supplements are highly respected worldwide.

To demonstrate the benefits of Immuno-Care®, Celt Naturals has conducted double-blind clinical trials on humans. In addition, research has been conducted to study how these same nutrients may benefit animals with the same human conditions.

Can I combine Immuno-Care® with the medication(s) prescribed by my physician?

If you are taking prescribed medication(s), it is always best to consult with your doctor or alternative healthcare practitioner before starting any nutritional supplements.

Can I take Immuno-Care® while I am breastfeeding or pregnant?

No. If you are breastfeeding or pregnant, you should always consult with your healthcare provider before using any supplements.

Can I take Immuno-Care® if I've been diagnosed with Sitosterolemia?

Do not take Immuno-Care®if you have been diagnosed with Sitosterolemia. People with this condition have excess betasitosterol and related fats in their system, which makes them prone to early heart disease. Taking betasitosterol makes this condition worse.
